Senior Room News

The worst has occured in the senior room last week.

The X-Box 360 was running as normal when it struck.

THE RED RING OF DEATH!!!!!



The red ring of death is the worst thing that can happen to an X-Box.

Once this happens you your system is pretty much fried and needs to be sent back to microsoft to be fixed.

Now we need to find a method of fixing the system or paying for it to be fixed by microsoft.

Senior Room During Christmas

The Senior's this year have decided to get with the holiday spirit and spice up the senior room.

The first addition to the senior room was the christmas tree with lights brought in by Noah Davis.




Another addition to the senior rooms list of holiday spirit is the christmas chain that was made to count down the number of school days left until christmas vacation.



The senior room is lookin very festive this year.

Today was the first day back to the senior room after the five day Thanksgiving break.

The senior room was as normal as any other day, as if it was never left.

The same people that come in every day were there playing COD5.

During 5th period Travis Acuna (screenlooker) and Erica Gussow played a game of COD4 against Devin Scherrer and Jen Durkin.

The game didn't turn out too well for Travis because it is difficult for him to screenlook on "shipment".

I found a video on youtube of a collection of COD4 gunshots put together to make sort of a techno music. Here it is.

Today in the Senior Room there was a few matches of Soul Caliber 4.



Soul Caliber 4 is a two person fighting game much like Mortal Kombat.

The game to someone who has never played it before might seem like a button mashing game.



Soul Caliber is actually quite a fun game for two people to play.

In order to be truely good at the game though you need to learn some of the combos and throws because it is very hard to win a fight just on button mashing.

The Senior Room today once again, just like most other days had a distinguished smell of cheese and milk.



Since whatever the food that is hidden had most likely been sitting in the senior room since before the weekend it started to become spoiled and give off an unpleasant smell.

Also today, Colin Campbell brought in the newest edition of Mortal Kombat.



Obviously since Mortal Kombat is well known as one of Colin Campbells favorite games he beat everyone who played him today.

The new Mortal Kombat was said to be a fun game but I find it very unlikely that it will ever replace the Call Of Duty games in the senior room.

The newest addition to the senior room is Call Of Duty 5 World At War.



The new game brought in many people who wanted to see what the game was like.

I believe that everyone was happy with the new game.

This edition has much more blood and is extremely violent.

One of the new features is the flamethrower gun that you can unlock on Live.



If you get a
3 Kill Streak you can get Radar
5 Kill Streak you can get an Artillary Strike
7 Kill Streak you can Call in the Dogs

The new game is set back during the time frame of World War II. So this means that the guns aren't as advanced looking but they appear to be quite similar to the COD4 guns in how they work.



The gun pictured above is believed to be the equivalent to the P-90 of COD4.

The game is overall a good game and will be a good new addition to the senior room.

Richard Bonk was supposed to have picked up the newest edition of Call Of Duty last night but he was unsuccesful in doing so because he went to walmart where they didn't have the latest version yet.

The new Call Of Duty 5 Game would have been a nice addition to the list of games in the senior room.



Call Of Duty 4 is starting to become boring and repetative using the same maps over and over every day.

We need some new maps, new guns and new challanges.


COD5 is rated to be one of the best games ever created along with COD4

Hopefully COD5 will soon become the newest edition to the senior rooms list of games.

The Senior Room had a peculier smell today.

It may have been the fact that half of the kids who hangout in the senior room don't take care of their hygiene.



Also someone left an empty milk carton in the drawers that hold the extra games and paddles.

Although the carton was empty it still had a residue of milk in it which over time begins to mold and give off a smell that noone likes.

During 5th period today there were so few people that the X-Box360 was not even being used.



I took advantage of this opportunity by playing guitar hero 3.

This week in the senior room the addition of the strobe light was taken away because some people pointed the light into a teacher across the halls' room.

This light in the teachers eyes distracted him and angered him so he took the light away.

Another incident in the senior room was when someone put up a sign saying "Kate K. Stay Out... Seriously".



Later in the day another sign was posted saying some mean things and using choice words that described her a not a very nice person.

The Senior Room has a new addition to the lighting system.

I brought in a Strobe light to add a twist to our gaming experiences.



This will hopefully make it difficult for people to concentrate while they play games.


Today was just like any other day though in the senior room.

There was some Call Of Duty 4 being played (which is always won by Bonk) and some Mario Kart on the Nintendo Gamecube.

Back in the Senior Room

Today is my first day back in the senior room from being on the second time.



During 5th period there was only a few people in the Senior Room so I played a good amount of Guitar Hero III



At the same time, Tyson Nelson was playing a game of Mario Kart



Although Tyson and myself were the only ones playing video games in the Senior Room today there were a few others that came there to get some of their homework done.



The Senior Room is losing people which is a good thing so it isn't overly crowded.
Also the strong odor caused by the large number of people has left the room.

Today in the senior room two people who don't usually play Call Of Duty 4 decided that it would be a good idea to start their career by playing against two others who knew what they were doing.

BAD IDEA.....



I think so.

Kate Keller, who was one of the people who was easily defeated in t the game, was furious that Devin Scherer and Taylor Rumble had defeated her and J-Webb so easily.



The score of the game was a pretty harsh score.

One of the main games on the little TV is Mario Kart.

This game is played using the Nintendo Game Cube.

Although the game looks simple and easy it can be deceiving because it is much harder than it looks.



Some people like Jen Durkin and Mercedes Maltbie tried to play Mario Kart and were easily lapped and defeated.

The game of Mario Kart, although fun to the people who play it well, is a cause of too much noise in the Senior Room.

Whenever someone is winning because of a weapon they picked up while driving the other players have a tendancy to become angry and release their anger by yelling at them.

Today in the senior room, the almighty Colin Campbell was beat in Halo 3 on his favorite map.



This map is called High Ground. It is a personal favorite of Colins. The person who beat Colin is known as Devin Sheierlur.

Colin was and should be very ashamed to have been beaten by Devin, considering Halo 3 is one of Colins strongpoints when it comes to video games.



The next period there was a usual game of Call Of Duty 4. Which was owned by Richard Bonk who is now injured from a bad fall at his soccer game.

This injury did not put any restrictions on Richards gaming skills.

The quatity of people in the senior room decreases with every day and it is beging to be more noticeable.

Some people were just coming into the senior room in the begining because they could but now only the people who actually use this facility visit the senior room.

Call Of Duty 4 continues to be the top ranked video game in the senior room.











Although other games have come and gone in the Senior Room, no game has yet been played as consistently and often as COD4











Now that the big screen TV has been rearranged in the Senior Room we don't have to cram as many people as possible into the corner to play a game.





With this new arrangement of the TV it is more convinient for a large number of students to view a gaming session rather than before.

Sometime between last Friday and this morning there was a serious crime committed in the senior room.

An unknown person or persons had gone on the X-Box 360 and decided to delete the profile of the owner, Nick Connor, who was intensly angry about this.

Not only are all of Nicks gameing achievements gone but now all of the songs on Guitar Hero are deleted causing us to start over with a new Career.

For one person to delete another persons profile is one thing but to delete the profile of the owner of the X-Box 360 is just straight up wrong.

But even though this crime was committed it didn't stop the usuall people from starting up a good 'ole game of Halo 3.

The newest addition to the senior room is the Guitar Hero series.

Nick Connor, the owner of the X-Box 360 in the senior room, brought in his guitar and games for us.

This new game has been taking priority over even the best of games like COD4 this past week. Will it last?

Richard Bonk, who was thought to be the master of all video games known to man, was playing Guitar Hero 3 today and to put it lightly he sucks.

although only one person can play at a time there hasn't been any complaining of people who don't get to play. Everyone just watches and enjoys the music.
